I am busy tonight working on this Quilt! It's a Block of the Month Called; "A Tisket, A Tasket" by the Quilted Basket! Designed by Ann M. Wanke. These fabrics are reproductions of 1930's feed sacks. I love quilts that tell a historic story! The story on the Windham fabric website states..."Printed floursacks, (and feedsacks) were a tradition beginning in the great depression, but lasted into the 1950's. It is estimated that by the early 1940's over 3 million women and children were wearing some version of a printed feedbag garments" My husbands Grandmother made quilts from floursacks or feedsacks from the 1930's. Those quilts are still in the family. I look forward to making my own. I'll post my progress soon! Better get back to quilting!
